What about drugs?
Here
is one view on cholesterol lowering statin drugs from a medical doctor:
“The statin drugs’ claim to fame is that they lower cholesterol. But
what is the true risk of high cholesterol? The Multiple Risk Factor
Intervention Trial (MRFIT), one of the most definitive studies on risk
factors for heart disease, showed that elevated cholesterol (along with
high blood pressure and smoking) increased risk of heart attack and
death from cardiovascular disease. Individuals with cholesterol levels
of 275 or higher had a greater risk of death (1.3 percent) than those
with levels of 150 or less (.3 percent). What this really means is that
for every 100 people in each group, one more person in the
high-cholesterol group would die from heart disease than the
low-cholesterol group…To save ten people in the high-cholesterol group
compared to the low cholesterol group, you would have to treat 1,000
people with drugs with known toxic side effects that increase death
from other causes. Is this good medicine? No, it’s insanity…These drugs
may reduce numbers of death from heart attack and other cardiovascular
events, but the risk of death from other causes goes up, canceling out
any survival benefit… Statins have also been linked to increased risk
of kidney disease, immune system suppression, memory loss, and cancer ”
[1].
Another medical doctor has written, “Cholesterol is
one type of body fat. The enzyme in the liver that makes sugar into
cholesterol turns up its activity when insulin levels rise. Insulin
levels rise following carbohydrate meals or excess mental stress (among
other promoters)…Statin drugs work, in part, because they poison this
liver enzyme’s ability to listen to the insulin message. The trouble
with poisons concerns their inevitable side effect and toxicities” [2].
Cholester-Right is not a drug, it is a 100% vegan supplement containing the following Foods:
Apple Pectin Malus domestica, “Numerous studies have demonstrated that pectin has favorable effects on lipids” [3].
Brown Kelp is a Food
source of trace minerals, and an excellent source of iodine [4]. Kelp
has long been used (since 3000 B.C.) to provide nutritional support for
the thyroid gland [5-7].
Citrus Bioflavonoids Citrus sinensis
the full complement of bioflavonoids that nature provides. Unlike some
ascorbic acid formulas which may contain some of them, citrus contains
the full variety of truly organic bioflavonoids including flavanone
glycosides, naringin, neorioctrin, neohesperidin, hesperiden, flavone
glycosides, rhoifolin, luteolin, neodiosnin, flavon aglycones,
tetra-o-methylisoscutellaren, sinensetin, isosinensetin, tangeritin,
nobiletin, 5-0-desmethylnobiletin. Certain bioflavonoids are believed
to have “positive lipid effects” in maintaining proper levels [3].
Chirayata Leaf Andrographic paniculata helps support a healthy liver [8-9]. Furthermore, Andrographic paniculata (APN), "The effects of APN are evidently superior to those of FO” [9] (fish oil).
Garlic Bulb Allium sativa has long been advised for maintaining healthy lipid levels [10].
Ginger Root Zingiber officinalis has been found to help maintain healthy lipid levels [10].
Guar gum seed is extracted from locust beans. It can help maintain healthy lipid levels [10].
Guggul Gum Commiphora mukul
is a type of myrrh extract. Guggulipid can help maintain healthy
cholesterol, serum triglycerides, serum phospholipids and betalipids
levels [3]. The guggul gum in Cholester-Right contains 2.5% guggulsterones, which appears to be the proper level for many of its benefits.
Hawthorn Berry can help maintain healthy cholesterol levels [12].
Oat Beta-Glucan Fiber Avena sativa can help maintain healthy cholesterol levels ” [3].
Policosanol can help maintain healthy cholesterol levels [3]. The policosanol in Cholester-Right comes from two sources: rice bran and sugar cane.
Pomegranates can help maintain healthy cholesterol levels [13].
Rice bran is a Food source of B vitamins [3]. It is also a source of about ½ of the policosanol in Cholester-Right.
Turmeric Root Curcuma domestica is indigenous to India. Turmeric can help maintain healthy lipid levels [10].
Vitamin C has long been used for maintaining healthy cholesterol and other lipid levels [3]. Cholester-Right contains Food vitamin C.
For maintaiing healthy cholesterol levels, Cholester-Right is a great choice for those interested in 100% Food support.
Unlike many so-called “natural” formulas, Cholester-Right is
only comprised of foods or food extracts, contains no synthetic USP
nutrients or isolated mineral salts, but only contains foods, food
complexes, and food concentrates. Food nutrients are better

CRITICAL to the UTLIZATION of vitamins and minerals which are not
present in isolated USP nutrients. Published research has
specifically concluded that food vitamins are superior to synthetic/USP
vitamins.
